About the Library

Please welcome Kristin MacLeod as the new Library Manager of Citizens'. Kristin worked at AML for 12 years & was most recently Head of Circulation. When not at the library, she enjoys time with family, reading, hiking, & travelling. Drop by Citizens' to say hello or to ask for help on finding your next read.

Acton Citizens' Library is a welcoming neighborhood library, located at 21 Windsor Ave, in the historical district of West Acton. This simple Greek Revival-style house is the oldest library in Acton and originally operated as a subscription library.

Here we offer the latest best sellers and we specialize in putting popular books and magazines into the hands of readers, young and old.

For our youngest patrons, the library offers storytime programs in conjunction with Memorial Library that introduces 0-to-5 year olds to the joy of reading. For older kids, we stock a popular collection of children's and young adult books plus a small juvenile non-fiction section. For adults, we offer an excellent selection of fiction, mysteries, popular non-fiction and a large print collection as well as programming such as our new monthly Morning Mysteries Book Club.

Come to our reading room with comfy couches, stay a while, and browse the most current magazines and books.

At Citizens Library, we also offer on-site public computers, wireless internet and readily-available museum passes that you can reserve here.

*Please note: Museum passes are available for pickup at both Memorial and Citizens' Library and must be returned to the library they were picked up at. Please make sure to select your desired pickup location when making reservations.
